GAH! (a countdown to rush hour)

First, let me just say...if I have a post about one of the shows I watch, I will try to also post another thing just about crap in general. Cool?

http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/09/24/gmail.crash/index.html

I'm one of those users who has been having trouble with gmail for like the past month. If gmail isn't working, what else do I have to keep me occupied at work? I've already exhausted creating a blog, reading articles online, Facebook stalking...*ahem* so anyway...I'm bored!

The first week of work was overwhelming. In case you didn't already know, I started a temp position in Hoboken. I divide my time between the operations and the accounting departments. This week though...I've found myself sitting around browsing the internet and other related crap. Now that I've gotten the hang of everything, I get it quickly out of the way and then look at the clock and see that it's only like 11:35am or something. I don't leave until 5:30pm...you do the math. I detest getting paid to do nothing. It feels wrong. Well, maybe it's really because you get paid for your loss of freedom. At home I could do my same nothing and not make a dime...but at least I could listen to music, watch TV, go to the bathroom every 10 minutes...you know.

Almost even worse than doing nothing is the fact that I'm now considered an "adult." Sure I've been 18 or 21 for a while now, but those didn't count if you were still an undergrad. Now it matters. Mark and I were just talking the other day about what we have become. Even just the little things. Here's an excerpt from our convo:

Mark: im wearing suit and tie today
Sent at 10:31 AM on Tuesday
Me: im wearing a skirt, heels, and an argyle cardigan over a collared button up shirt

Those who are reading this now...you're totally judging us! For those of you that know us personally, those outfits are so not us. Mark is so the "clever t-shirt guy" and I'm so the "jeans, hoodie, chucks girl"...This is post-grad.

SHOUTOUT to PSBC: Good wishes on First Gen tonight! Hope the year goes well!

  1. Thanks for the warm wishes for first gen. It was great. You would have been proud. BTW the video is totally like a 09 shout out...well maybe just you and Chris lol ahah. And also I kept on saying "Reynes" out loud like how Lori would say it "Rey-nes" with an inflection on the "es" lol.
